Man kādreiz bija vēlme atjaunot lidostu

Neviens man neko neteica :P
Pamēģināju beidzot PicLayer. Jā, ērti

@HellMap pārsteidzi :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Ko tad es tādu īpašu izdarīju?
(Adresi dāvinājumiem nosūtīšu PM  )
Man šodien facebook lidar reklamēja lidaru

Pic layer neesi izmantojis
Ā, nu es parasti MapWarper lietoju, jo manas bildes parasti ar vienkāršu rectify nevar uztaisīt no kaut kādas teritorijas plāksnes, ko kāds ar roku kaut kad zīmējis...
Ja drons pakaļ pats lidotu un tas visur būtu legāli, tad varbūt. Man viņu notrieks, kad garām Ādažiem braukšu

Veikalus-saliņas (kuri man ļoti nepatīk) gan mēdzu izlaist.
Kas ir "veikali-saliņas"? Tie, kas ārpus t.c. telpām koridoros?
Veikali iekšā tirdzniecības centrā pa vidu koridoriem. Rīga Plaza, Akropole Rīga, Akropole Alfa ir tādi.
I tried playing around with indoor mapping. It's significantly more tedious than I expected.
I take plan from site, put into josm with piclayer Rihards mentioned, and map on top of it.
So far I mapped Domina and started Origo.
Both plans were not 1-to-1 with shapes on Cadastr. Plus, Origo has this setup where "groud level" on opposite sides is different (roof of Rimi is a pedestrian area/platform)
I don't get corridors for now: in Domina I created one large multipolygon but it's not rendered at indoor=, so I guess it was wrong thing to do.
Plus same as Andris, I don't have much love for those island-shops, so leaving them out.
And, if somebody is curious, on Origo site there map is unwieldy, so I just opened inspector in browser, copied svg tag for it, pasted into rando svg tag to png converter site and use that picture as layer.
Maybe it might give idea for somebody in future :))
Yep, those plans are most often just schematics and not actually to scale. Good luck
I mean they look almost to scale, at least comparing to layout from memory.
Issue is that they are a tine bit off in different parts, and it might make it difficult to align all parts at the same time.
I'm doing some not-so-educated guessing and averaging, but for purposes of OSM it's 100% good enough
comaps is working on indoor stuff incase that helps with motivation

Cool stuff. Pity cycling infra visibility seems low on their priority table, but this cool too
@markalex With regards to Origo. I was making an attempt at that as well. But if you were working on that as well we should better coordinate our work so that there aren't too much conflicts. Had some fun figuring out all the level=-1 connections.

Didn't do any direct tracing over the plans published in Origo website (or other Centrālā stacija plans which can be found online) since those plans aren't published using suitable license. Only careful note taking and deriving positions from satellite pictures, and the 2x2 grid which is more or less used by middle section. If you start with windows there are 15 of them 4m wide each and make a grid. The major columns and walls more or less aligned with this grid and the shops are between columns. Ceiling windows floor outlines are also clues, recently finished 3d parts and almost every floor in Origo has unique shape.
As for ground level differences osm wiki for simple indoor is quite clear that level=0 should be lowest one which has access to street level. As for the part which connects to platform there is no reason why outdoor paths (on the platform) can't connect to doors/indoor corridors at level=1/2. Another interesting aspect is level height mismatch between Stacija and mall buildings. Floors in Origo section are slightly taller than Stacija, the platform connects to level=2 in Stacija, but level=1 in Origo side. Inside level=1 stacija connects to level=1 in Origo.
Corridors/multipolygons and island shops. I would say -> just map the majority of island shops as point features. I have even seen some people argue that regular shops (indoor or not) should also be mapped as point features inside rooms/buildings, not directly on rooms since the shops change more frequently than rooms. Instead of messing with multipolygons there is always an option split them into hole free shapes. 2 side by side indoor=area or indoor=corridor have no walls in between so it shouldn't be an issue for rendering or routing. And logically from the perspective of how you would describe it in common language corridor is usually a straight thing so splitting larger floors into multiple corridors wouldn't be so bad. It has additional side benefit of minimizing impact of changes -> when shops get merged or split into smaller ones only connected corridor would be modified instead of whole floor.

It seems you are way into more details at this moment, so I yield priority to you. I can save my setup and continue later (if need be) without any problems, so please proceed.
But please sync up data if you already started, as I uploaded first batch of changes today.
Re levels: I meant this highlighted part. It's currently not a part of the building, because from outside it doesn't seem to be, and also it is not marked on cadastr. But Rimi is indeed there, and pedestrian area seen on aerial is actually on the roof of Rimi.

With corridors - I've seen that approach you describe been used in Alfa. I just found it weird looking and proceeded with one large corridor. I guess it so happened that by doing that I was way to clever and way too dumb at the same time =)
Since I won't be touching Origo for now, I'll go back to Domina and rework its corridors into a bunch of holeless shapes. And maybe actually add its second floor)
Oh, and re license: Since their plan and Cadastr (witch I trust in this situation to be most accurate source of truth) don't align really good, I think(!) I have to do enough of creative work to warrant fair use.
Ok, i'll carefully transfer the parts that I currently have on top of latest version. I'd have to partially redo them anyways due conflicts with stuff that Anrijs Tērauds recently changed. What happens for the shops in Origo half will see, since my approach won't work too well for that. No plans to count tiles there.
On the topic of indoor mapping in general. Saw that you had left some of the old walls around rooms in centrālā stacijas. Rooms already imply walls. So manual walls are rarely needed. Mostly for the cases that have bunch of indoor=area indoor=corridor side by with some walls but not fully surrounded by them.
Looks like indoor= still hasn't fixed the object duplication/cache bug. Domina will look like a mess for a while. In Alfa it still shows ghosts from changes that were done more than month ago.
