A new MapRoulette challenge is live: Latvia - Nodes Without Primary Tags!
The aim of this challenge is to improve data completeness by adding appropriate primary tags to OSM nodes that currently have a name=* tag but lack top-level tags defining the features (such as amenity=, shop=, place=*, etc.)

I would advise anyone slight caution when editing these, some need special care to fix, including research and surveys. Some don't have any OSM established tags to use.
There is also a daily report at https://osmlatvija.github.io/Osmalyzer/Non-defining%20Tagging%20report.html that detects these (and more) in Latvia. I've myself fixed a lot of the obvious ones before. Many of the ones remaining are harder-to-fix cases.

You’re absolutely right — this challenge will likely call for fairly experienced mappers, with solid tagging knowledge and, when needed, it might require survey and broader investigation to identify appropriate tag.

If the available information (imagery, local knowledge, website, signage, etc.) is insufficient to determine the correct primary tag, or if the feature is ambiguous, outdated, or no longer exists, contributors are encouraged to mark the task as “Can’t complete”.
